  Accepting Christ

If you've put off accepting Christ or want to know more, this page will help.

If you're visiting this page you've probably already felt His presence in your life or feel pulled into knowing Him more. Accepting Christ probably won't make all your problems go away instantly but it will help make a difference. Usually, accepting Christ begins a process rather than changing things instantly. After awhile you'll begin to notice more strength for the hard days or more patience when you're the most stressed.
I can honestly say this because His presence in my life made all the difference in my healing. It wasn't an instantaneous. I'd heard all of the stories about how someone began accepting Christ and then received a new car or thunder bolts crashed from the sky. Nothing like that happened and because of that I felt put off for awhile.
What happened instead was an extra dose of calm and a yearning to learn how to pray. The development of prayer helped me face the aftermath of what happened, my mother's passing after cancer, two kids with chronic health needs, major health challenges of my own... name it. I wish we could sit down over a cup of coffee so I could share everything about how accepting Christ has helped me!
Maybe it's better that you know that I firmly believe that accepting Christ can and will help you face your own battles? That's just what He does. I'm very grateful for that and for His healing in my life.

Accepting Him isn't complicated. All that has to be done is: is...

1. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
2. Believe that He died on the cross
and was raised from the dead.
3. Know that He did this for you.
4. Acknowledge that you've sinned
by not knowing Christ and that you
are in need of the salvation and hope that accepting Christ provides.

When you're accepting Christ just pray this prayer out loud.

Lord God,
I do believe that your son is Jesus.
I believe he died on the cross
and was raised from the dead
for me and for my sins.
Please forgive me for those sins.
Come into my life
that I may have an everlasting life
with you in Heaven, forever.
Amen

That's all there is to it. In the name of Jesus you are now forgiven.

May you now live your life as you've never dreamed that you would. Many Christians find it helpful to become involved in a local church. If you aren't sure what to say or how to do that it's ok. We may be able to help you decide what you want in a church. Send us an email if we can help in any way.

May God bless you with peace, love, strength and faith.
