Suicidal? I once was too.

Thanks for stopping in. Take this time as a breather for yourself. Life is very hectic and there are many worries. It is very easy to become overwhelmed with the way things are going. It is very easy to think of suicide as an option. The reason I know this? I have been here, just where you are on the other side of the screen.

I am sorry you are feeling so sad.  Your life must be filled with an incredible amount of pain right now. So much so that you are afraid the pain will never end and things will always be just like this. The pain your are in may make you feel like you are at the bottom and you have no choices left in your life.

This page was created in hopes of offering you reassurance. Pain is life's way of letting us know something is wrong but it will pass. Things can and will get better. You will not go on hurting forever even though it seems like this right now. Life will get easier for you. You can make it become better.

That is the one thing I can promise your right now. Life does and will get better through work and time. I wish I could be there talking to you right now. Is there someone you can call? Even a hotline? After you finish here, take a minute and give them a call. If you want to talk with someone but can't phone anyone right now, the links below may help you. There are hotlines and free online counseling available to you through the links below. (I've heard some really good things about the Samaritains.)

There is a way to a better tomorrow. If you end your life you will miss out on all the beautiful things in life. For you, there won't be anymore rainbows, sunrises, laughter or better times in your life. But if you don't end your life, the good things will happen. Slowly at first, but they will come.

I know this from being where you are right now. I have been on the other side of this screen too and know, that things will get better.

Sometimes it helps to write down what's right in our lives.
Print out this sheet, fill it out (get some help filling it out if you need it) and carry it with you. Reminding ourselves that someone cares can get us through those dark moments. That's what this sheet is for. You don't have to share it with anyone if you don't want to. It's entirely your own.
