The 2005 Worldwide Prayer Vigil has come to a close

The 2005 Worldwide Prayer Vigil has come to a close for those at our office.

It carries on throughout the world's time zones until extinguished by the passage of time.

Please join us next year!

Here are pictures from the office of Hope for Healing.Org in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee.

The Hope Quilt is so large

it took 4 kids to hold it up so the picture could be taken. You see two kids

and only the feet of the other two.

Besides the Prayer Service Program, plenty of information was available. If you would like a program from the service please let us know. We'll gladly mail one to you.

A hand crocheted baby blanket was placed on the altar in honor of the child victims of Domestic Violence.

Readings during the prayer service were in the survivors own words. The Hope Quilt Panel I and the beginning of Panel II were on display.

Candles were lighted in memory and honor of victims throughout the world. The four purple candles stand for the general categories of Survivors/Victims, Children, Family/Friends and Abusers.

We would like to thank Strawberry Plains United Methodist Church for allowing us to use their church for this prayer service.

A flutist provided beautiful music for the worship service.

The mums on the altar were a light purple.

Not pink as the picture shows.

Don't forget to wear your purple ribbon! Contact us to have one sent to you.

People prayed alone or in groups to truly make this a worldwide event.

All services were  held according to local customs and religions.
